Ministerial Review of 61st Infantry Group UNDOF

Join us at King John's Castle on Friday 20th March at 12pm as the Minister with responsibility for Defence, Mr Paul Kehoe, TD, will review the 61st Infantry Group in King John’s Castle in advance of their deployment to the Golan Heights in Syria with the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF).

This is a very special event for Limerick given that it is the first occasion that Sarsfield Barracks will provide the lead unit to this Mission and the majority of the 61st Infantry Group are drawn from 12th Infantry Battalion, Sarsfield Barracks. It is also an opportunity for families, friends and members of the public to wish the troops well in their Mission prior to deployment.

This event is capacity restricted so arrive early. Doors open 10am with event commencing at 11am. Access to the castle towers will be restricted during this time.
